Digi Choosday Week 26

It's time for a new ANYTHING GOES challenge at Digi Choosday.

As always the Design Team were given a little challenge (to keep us on our toes - lol)  This week it was to focus on the sentiment.

Picking the sentiment was the easy bit for me, as I love this one and it is included with the Serenity Fairy Wishes collection, which is also where the image is from.

I decided this week to use a pre-coloured image and created the layout in the Silhouette Studio and then added some sparkles down one side and a hand tied double ribbon.

A really quick and easy card for those that do not colour, or if you need a card in a hurry.

Digi Choosday Week 25

For this weeks Digi Choosday ANYTHING GOES challenge, the Design Team were asked to use 2 images, the romantic in me thought that Winne & Rocco from the Winnie Special Moments collection would make a perfect Romeo and Juliet (Hopefully with a happier ending!).

I merged the image with a brick background using the silhouette studio and then coloured with Copics.

It was looking a little too CAS for me, so I used the Cherry Blossom Die to create tree branches laden with blossom.

I also added a little white picket fence, but in hindsight, I should have distress the edges, as it really does not show up so well.

I look forward to seeing all your fabulous projects.

Digi Choosday Week 24

Digi Choosday is upon us once again, with a new ANYTHING GOES Challenge.

The design team were tasked with using pastel colours this week - ha ha, I am so not a pastel girl, my colouring always look full on even when I try for the light touch!!

I have used 'Be a Fluffy Unicorn from the Too Cute collection.

The wording and swirls were all created digitally in silhouette studio and the unicorn was coloured with Copics, think I managed to keep it pastel.

I layered the image on pastel card and used the off cuts for the background.

All unicorns need a little sparkle, right?, so I added a row gems to the top.

I am going to hang this in my craft room, to annoy my 7 year old son, who keeps telling me Unicorns are not real - they so are!!.

Aurora Wings Celebration

Hi everyone, this weekend at Aurora Wings we are having a celebration, it is a  3K Members Party and we will also be showcasing some beautiful new images, ooooh and a lovely discount code.

I have had the pleasure of colouring up the mesmerising 'Siren', I always enjoy colouring up Mitzi's mermaids and was excited to colour this one.

I have used Copics on this A5 sized colouring and used some techniques learnt with the monthly colouring classes at Kit & Clowder.

I drew in a large moon behind her and thought a nice purple tinged northern lights sky would look lovely against all the green and turquoise.  I also added some home made texture paste to the sea where she is emerging.

There a lots of other beautiful releases that the Aurora Wings DT have been working on HERE.

I do hope you come and join in the celebrations and of course there will be plenty of chances to win prizes.

Here is a little sneak peak of a Freebie which will be available tomorrow?!?

Digi Choosday Week 23

This week at DIGI CHOOSDAY the Design Team were asked to make their project 'Shabby Chic'.

I don't know about you, but this is a style I am never too sure what it means.

My understanding was floral, layers and a ton of embellies, but when I came to write this post I decided to look up the definition, which is as follows:-

a style of interior decoration that uses furniture and soft furnishings that are or appear to be pleasingly old and slightly worn.

"the mismatched furniture and wallpaper in varied patterns epitomizes shabby chic"

So, not sure I have achieved the look ( I am not keen on mixed patterns), but I really like the screen card I have created.

The image is called 'Wistful' from one of my favourite collections - Octavia Moonfly and I have coloured her with Copics.

All the embellishments are odd bits I had lying around and the lovely backing paper is Serenity.

Don't forget to go grab todays discount code and to enter the challenge for a chance to win a prize.

Eat Cake

We have a new challenge for you over at Aurora Wings, hosted by Team Stella and the theme this time is 'Celebration', so it could be anything - Birthday, Baby, Wedding, but you must include a hand coloured image.

I thought to myself, what is one of the things I love most about a celebration - well cake obviously has to be up there!!

So I have used the cute Cup Cake Sprite and of course she had to be Chocolate flavour, with a hint of Orange!

She is coloured with Copics and I used a mix of papers to creating the layers.

I added a little peach resin flower to the frosting swirls and a small bouquet of mulberry roses and flowers to complete my card.

If you would like to enter and also see the beautiful inspiration by my Team mates, head on over to the Challenge Blog.
