Mammoth Birthday

I have been dying to colour some more of the images from the new Sticks and Bones collection by Polkadoodles, but I have had very little time this week, finally last night when my little man had gone to bed, I managed to colour two.

But I am only sharing one here today for this weeks Inky Pinkies DT project and it is the one I have been really looking forward to colouring.

Introducing 'Mammoth' teamed up with 'Slingshot Girl'.

As usual I have coloured with Copics, I have used E71, E74, E77 & E79 for the woolly mammoth, I really love these browns and have been using them a lot lately.  Also, I am really loving red hair at the moment, which I think goes well with the earthy tones for this collection.

All of the elements are from the collection, including the fun sentiment.  I did however stamp onto the heart and bone.

Finally I added some glossy accents to the tusks and eyes.

If you love colouring, whatever medium you prefer, do pop along to our Facebook page and share your work, we would love to see you there.

Thanks for looking :)

Sticks and Bones

Wow, have you seen the new release from Polkadoodles?

It is called Sticks and Bones and is jam packed with adorable Jurassic themed images, backgrounds and embellishments.

So of course I went straight to the site and downloaded it - Polka doodles Store, just perfect for making my Nephews birthday card this week.

The only problem I had was deciding which image to use, but my little man decided for me.

I have used a mix of elements from the pack:- Frame, Stone writing, Sentiment and of course the digital images, which I have coloured with Copics.

This image is 'Turtle Ride' and can also be purchased on it's own.

I didn't add any embellies as it is for a young boy, but I did add some glossy accents to the turtle shells and the egg.

It's a fab collection, just need to decide which image to play with next.

Thanks for looking :)

Time for Tea

Today is time for a new Inky Pinkies DT post, I have used another image from the Polkadoodles Serenity Collection 'Fairy Cake'.

I used the following colour inspiration by Tamara Van Wijk.

I have used mostly Copics on this image with a dash of Promarker and Graph it.

It's a shame you cannot see the SN sparkle pen on the wings, as really gives a great sparkle.

Thanks for visiting a don't forget to pop along to the Inky Pinkies Facebook page, we would love for you to share your work, you can use any image, but please no links other than Polkadoodles :)

Alyce & Lila Bear

One of the lovely members of the Kit & Clowder Facebook Colouring group (Linda L Shannon Miller), kindly commissioned an image by Yam puff, depicting our gorgeous coloring teacher Alyce and her fur baby Lila Bear.

If you would to join in the challenge head over and join Kit & Clowder, to grab the image for free.

I have used Copics to colour this image.

I based my colours on a dress I saw Alyce wearing in a photo and used the Pink rose background to represent the Kit and Clowder rose logo.

I really enjoyed colouring this image, thank you Linda & Yampuff x

Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone, lets hope its a good one.  Last year was not so kind to me and my family, I had a health scare and a major operation and whilst I was recovering I lost my wonderful MIL, which was very out of the blue and a bit of a shock to the whole family.

So, heres to looking forward to better and brighter days.  With this is mind, for my latest DT project for  Inky Pinkies,   I grabbed my new Lyra pencils and coloured one of the fabulous coloring pages from Polkadoodles, using lots of bright spring colours.

In celebration of the year I added it to the centre of the drawing, which I have also gone over with a SN sparkle pen.

To finish I added some butterflies and sparkle centers to the largest flowers.

I think I will add some ribbon and hang it in my craft room to remind me better times are ahead.

Wishing you all health, wealth, happiness and many hours of crafting fun.
